Characteristics of Graphene Like Material Synthesized from Coconut Shell Charcoal Powder using Solid State Method

We synthesized graphene like material from coconut shell charcoal powder (CSP) using solid-state method followed by exfoliation H 2 SO 4 . In the synthesis, CSP was mixed with KOH in a ratio of 1:5 heating at temperature 850ºC for 1 hour to obtain Coconut Shell Graphitization (CSG). The CSG then exfoliated ultrasonication which referred as Graphitization_Exfoliated (CSG_E). infrared spectra results two products showed presence C-C, C=C, C-O-C, C-O-OH groups are characteristics reduced oxide (rGO). Raman spectroscopy show that materials have D and G bands ID/IG 0.98-0.96, indicates impurities form an group on surface. Decomposition analysis help Lorentz Function XRD pattern structure 2θ = 26.59º, rGO 13.88º, 19.09º its 2nd order 42.89º. measurement indicate rGO. data shows consists 83.09% 16.91% graphene, after content CSG_E rises 87.27%
